oil should always be checked on a warm engine. my trick is to drive and fill up its about a 5 min drive. by the time i've then filled up and payed, the level has settled and i take my reading. its the most accurate method of checking oil level. got taught that years ago, and read it in most car handbooks. i think even the haynes manuals say it in there home service section of a variety of cars i've owned.

Drive fill up check your oil, smoke a fag read your magazine all whilst there is someone else waiting for petrol behind you, :lol: Sounds like an AUDI driver :p

lol :lol: if its busy i pull forward and wait 5 more min for oil to re settle.

 

if i was a real audi driver i'd stop at the pump in the car while ii have my sandwich before leaving. :lol:
