StokieShinobi
Hi all My new headunit is arriving soon. It has bluetooth handsfree built in and it comes with a wired mic Has anyone or does anyone know how I could use the mic that is already built into the car? Can you cut a mic cable and join it together like 12v wire? Im assuming you cant? Is there any connections on the mic anywhere that I could use to plug it into my new HU? Thanks! H5
Pretty sure it can't be done as all the electrickery for the standard hands free kit is in the BOSE unit.....
StokieShinobi
I was thinking that wouldnt matter. I just want to use the mic by the rear view mirror - the new headunit should supply the output tp power it? Just wondering if the wire can be spliced and joined on a mic wire?
