Timing cover removal

Had a search and couldn't find anything, so can someone tell me how easy it is to remove the timing cover?

Are there any special precautions to take, or is it simply a case of unbolting the bolts and removing and reverse to fit again? Are there gaskets that will need replacing or risk of losing any fluids etc. I've had a look at the CD workshop manual and it seems to be a nighmare job but don't know anything about it.

Cheers for any advice.

:scare: you go first and then let us know what it was like!!

You do need some type of sikoflex type of stuff when you reseal I think and there is the posibility of oil loss!

You polishing the timing cover? Easier to do with a dremel, sand paper etc with the rad off perhaps? PM one of the guys on my350z as they have experience over there. And I know Alex has some spares, so he probably knows what the removal etc is all about!

I was thinking of something more than just a polish and for that it really needs to come off......

Can not be removed and refitted successfully with engine in place.
