Engine Temp Too High Why ???????

Air in the system? Leak somewhere? Thermostat may be shot. Temp sender may be shot, but usually this just means you get no reading.

Afraid we are going to need more details. As Mark says, where does the needle start, and how long does it take to get to "hot". Does it go up and down noticably if you go for a spirited drive and then cruise for a while?

Welcome to the forum, oh hot one

Got some things to check and answer from the posts above - but if my temp needle creeps up over half way it will kick the fan in. If your guage is reading correct I would expect the fan to be going all the time - if it isn't then I would suspect the guage is giving a false reading ;)

Or the thermostat is cacked and not making it kick in
