rawbhp
Following on from my thread here: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=26089 I am having a nightmare trying to solve a noise problem. I really don't think it can be a bearing, especially after 30k miles. It is much more likely to be the tyres, even though they have plenty of tread and appear to be evenly worn. So...to be 100% sure the only way to check is to fit another set of wheels to the front of the car and see if the noise goes. If it does, it's the tyres, if it doesn't, it's something on he car itself. I'm therefore wondering if there is anyone with a Z who lives reasonably near me and has a spare set of 18" wheels in their garage. If they were willing to let me, I could come over and swop the front right, go for a quick drive, and hey presto I will have an answer. Sound like a plan!? BTW I live near J20 of the M25. rawbhp
Thanks, but it would probably cheaper to buy some new tyres Even though the tyres are directional, do you think it would be worth swopping the fronts over for a few miles just to see if the noise changes or disappears?
