HaydnH
Oh well, you asked so here's another post with too many photos! I think our family has been really lucky with beautiful pets, I'll start with the 2 cats who are brother's and sisters, the sister is amazingly affectionate and always jumps between peoples laps when they're trying to watch TV! And then there's the brother who I couldn't imagine any real cat being more like Garfield: He's also a thinker: And a damn pretty cat, coming from someone who prefers dog's that says a lot in my book: Sadly Buster has inoperable cancer but he's holding up well at the minute, and for some reason gets on really well with the dogs: And on to the dogs, there's the nut case who always wants to be outside and no matter how much training we give he always does his own thing: Unless it's with another dog in which case he know's he's not the boss: Which lastly brings us on to Taffy, yes he came from Wales like most of the family, who sadly passed last year but was without a doubt the most beautiful dog we've ever owned - you know those pet's that think they're human and are more like a friend than a pet? He surpassed that category by a mile! Even my ex who hated animals loved this dog and changed her whole perception about animals! Seriously she thought Gandalf the Grey actually existed in the form of this dog, so I believe a couple of photo's are allowed in memory of him:

Vik54
The Cats Protection league is doing a black cat awareness day now - just simply cos they get passed up on in the shelters so often. Nice one Squee. I'm taking on a new cat this weekend ...just seeing the shelter fit to burst with strays I wish could afford to home more than one but having footed enormous vets bills in the last year don't want to risk it ...all those sad wee faces sitting waiting for their forever homes though
Squee
OOoh a new cat Vik - that's great and I bet you're so excited! I was really sorry when I read you lost your old one on this thread recently. Have you decided on which new kitty yet? So hard isn't it with all the little faces mewing at you at the rescue centres. It's crazy that the black ones are rarely picked... some people reckon it's because of the supersition thing and also as they blend into the background at the cat rescue places. Silly people! All of mine are rescue ones apart from one which showed up as a stray. I like to think they're more grateful than the pedigree sorts but think I'm kidding myself! I just wish my black Zed would keep itself nice and shiny like the cats do S.
Vik54
I am v excited been so desperate for a fur fix I cuddled a Chihauha last week I'll post a pic when he comes home - he has to get his bits chopped off on Friday first I would encourage anyone that is 'feline' inclined to give a cat a home to visit their local CPL - their shelters are all fit to burst at the seams - which is not a good sign before the New Year kitten dumping season even begins http://www.cats.org.uk

Voodoo Vix
I love black cats, my last cat, Casper was pretty much all black (apart from a patch under his chin), I really wanted another black one but ended up with a very large three legged tabby instead, just couldn't resist him lol. My boyfriend has a little black and white kitty
