Need your help please people.

After collecting my 350 last week with 19" Racing heart wheels i have decided to change them as they will require a refurb to be perfect and to be honest i fancy something different.

Please could you all post pics of your car so it can help me see what wheels look the best.

Any more??

I thought id post pics of mine with the Racing hearts on, i now have to change them as they cant be refurbd.

Yeah, the old polished wheel re-furb problem, its a bummer. A guy in Wicked Wheels said he would have a go for me (have a slight scuff) but he had tried with similar on a Porker before and it hadn't gone well. There is a link here somewhere to recommended specialists, posted by 350ZNismo, but unfortunately these all drew a blank :(

So Dorian,

Does that mean that any wheel with a polished lip/rim cannot be refurbed if they are scratched etc?

Never say never and its probably possible in certain cases, but the way the Wicked Wheels guy explained it to me (and he defo knew his stuff) was that when he had tried a repair, he had been able to remove the scuff but the diamond lathe that had been required (it was sent away) had left a mark all around the polished rim which was probably more noticeable than the original.

He was prepared to have a go (under duress) but recommended that I found a suitable source for replacement before commencing - which I have done £580 :scare:

The other companies in 350znismo's list (spitandpolish.co.uk and BJV engineering) both said no prob. to start with and then when I sent a pic, said no way!

Bit of a surprise TBH

If there just polished, you can get them fixed professioonally really easy , or have a go yourself and get it 90% looking good

If there laquered as well it will be slightly more tricky as you will have to remove the laquer around the entire lip in order for it to look good !

Then either get it re laquered , or just polish them every once in a while !

The problem ive got with mine is the polished rim has pitted and has gone down about 2mm.

We cant simply polish them as that wont clear the pitting. They cant be diamond cut or put on a lathe either. All i can do is paint them all inlcuding the lip, so i have now decided to change them and buy new wheels.

So if anyone wants a set of 10x19Rear and 9x19 Racing hearts as pictured on the silver Z above let me know.

Will postpics of the new wheels on monday

You need to change them bulbs Liam to some of the silver ones...... then you won't get that orange look at the top of the headlights...... be all clear and nice ;)

Funkystyling sell em..... £9 odd for a pair...
