Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Hi, is there anyone on here that is 'tech' minded when it comes too laptops ? I dropped mine the other day and any white images have now become blurry pink. The lap top is Dell latitude 600... Cheers Chris
3FIDDYZ
sounds like you buggered your video card... but it also could be that the screen connector has become seperated... or one or 2 pins are out... They dont really like being dropped!
Beavis
Sounds like you need a new screen.
Chris`I
Most likely the screen connector has come loose somewhere or you've borked the screen itself. Either way you'll need a pro to look at it or its new laptop time
MrLizard
how old is it, dell's warranty is good for that sort of thing, put the service tag into dells online site to see where you stand with warranty.
srobrien
Most likely the screen connector has come loose +1 Probably come partially loose meaning you loose some colour channels, if its under warranty just tell them it just started to happen. If its not its pretty easy to take it apart and try push the cable in, I had to do it on my Acer after some dosy airhostess dropped it. Chris`I
Do you have the full model number? I used to have a Lattitude D600 and took it apart for my first carpc so know the workings pretty well. Can probably find you the destruction manual if you let me know the service tag or model number

Chris`I
OK cant find the proper Dell manual I used to have, but here is a good link - http://2xod.com/articles/Dell%20Latitud ... sassembly/ Shows you how to take the top panel/strip and keyboard off, that should give you access to the screen cable to test that. If that doesnt work, then you need to call the insurance company I guess!
