chriswillis
I'm looking to buy a new double din headunit screen but don't really have a great load of cash like 6-700 for an alpine. What are peoples opinions on this offering from JVC? All (sensible) opinions greatfully received..... PS - I would like to keep the steering wheel controls and this one does say it caters for that but is anyone sure???? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JVC-KW-AVX720-DVD ... 286.c0.m14 Many thanks Chris

chriswillis
Cheers buddy! I did find a couple of reviews after scouring the web and both of those were good/ Think i may go for this and will report my findings......
jim
I've just fitted the AVX820, complete with rear view camera, and I am delighted with it. Touch screen works very well and the iPod integration is superb. The only issue I have is that when you play a standard audio CD (not MP3 etc.) it does not read the track titles. Otherwise it's great and it's a good bit cheaper than the equivalent Kenwood or Pioneer.
Muddy
+1^^^ as above I have the AVX820 and although it is a cheaper double din, it works great, DVD plays well, LCD is clear. Brilliant bit of kit for the money.
Rob_Quads
Not used one of these myself but from the specs I have read they look like good value units.
Bundus
Those of you with the 820 have any of you added the cable for ipod video? If so does it work well? Im looking at getting this unit too. Cheers.
Bundus
Also caraudiodirect.co.uk are offering the 820 for only £439 (so not much more then the 720 on ebay) if you want the built in bluetooth among other features.

What are the main differences with the 820 then? Just bluetooth??
Bundus
In short the 820 has a detachable faceplate, more pre-outs at higher voltage and built in bluetooth. Check this out mate - its a great video review on both.
