3FIDDYZ
Was gonna say jerry... wouldnt it have been quicker to run out of the door and have a look on the pumps? You got 2 within a stones throw :)
ddmroadster350z
Shell V Power is the best by far against BP crap It's the difference between Highland Park Whiskey as against Mineral water
harrier1
shell v power is 98 bp ultimate is 97 and shell is generally cheaper in my experience some people on here say tesco do a 99 octane but i havent checked yet
rich5259
Tesco sell a "Super" unleaded and charge 5p/litre more than 95RON.... BUT (it's a big BUT) it can be 99 RON in some places and 97RON in others - Coventry and Bicester are 99, Rugby is

rtbiscuit
i can get the 99 ron stuff at my tesco at martlesham, but i still get the BP 97 ron as i get the nectar points, am i sad. at the end of the day tesco, shell saisburies, texaco etc all get their fule from the same depot, its just what and how they mix it. GT4 Zed
at the end of the day tesco, shell saisburies, texaco etc all get their fule from the same depot, its just what and how they mix it. However this makes a big difference the zed is design for high RON fuel (100RON) which is readily available in the JDM 0r germany, so to make stated power or avoid the loss thereof by using lower octane fuel it makes sense to go as high as possible. Currently only Tesco and BP do this and i use both at every opportunity! BP is overpriced when you consider it only a 97RON and the rest is crap because the fuel is stale or has crap additives !! There was an independent controlled test on EVO magazine a while back, comparing the popular ultimate fuels from all the big players and Tesco 99 was tops You also have the added advantage of 5p off if you spend £50 or above instore and collecting plus points;) Shell v-power club points can be exchanged for airmiles or other stuff but i have to say unless you spend more time at their pumps you are never going to fly anywhere meaningful in a hurry the only thing i struggle to see in any of these fuels is more mileage for unit volume
Chris`I
I tested my Zed and Leon on Tesco 99RON vs their 95RON and get more than enough extra in MPG to warrant the extra cost. I've seen a couple of tests that show Tesco to come out top, so it does me
Ebized
Yep, Tesco 99 when I can, V-power otherwise, BP ultimate if I'm only really desperate and don't bother with anything else...................................... except when in the Scottish Highlands where beggars can't always be choosy, but then the roads there soon put the :D's back
WoREoD
The list of Tesco sites with 99 keeps expanding. You can find a list on http://www.greenergy.co.uk/tesco_99_oct ... o_buy.html

Chris`I
I used 120 octane the other day and its dam good!! Not sure about the booster stuff! Do you have a 120 octane map now then? What were the dyno results for it?
3FIDDYZ
Nah, just used to to clear out the $hit texaco fuel!! We ran a couple of runs and they were very high against current but didnt keep the data! Didnt want to put up dodgy dyno charts with over egged numbers!
Chris`I
Nowt wrong with posting them if you clearly state its using 120RON
mic-39
That would be a very interesting topic The same car dyno'd with standard fuel, 97 ron, 99 ron and 120ron!! Maybe also 97ron with an additive
Shuck
I have always used 99 ron when I can from tesco. If needs be and it is unavailable I use the 97 ron stuff. The trick I've found is to check all of the pumps as some garages just have one pump dishing it out and others have loads. The 99 ron super unleaded has a green and silver sticker I think.
