alessandro
Hi, I just checked with direct line how much would it cost me to insure an 03 JDM and it's only £ 222 more than my Golf GTI . The car I'm thinking to buy comes with an optional private number plate ( worth £400 ). would anyone know if this will cost me more to insure?. Forgot to ask them
Stew
Emmmmmm no. The registartion mark worth 400 quid is a paper asset. The plates on the car are worth about a tenner from the local motor factor! The reg mark used in insurance is to add it to the database and ensure the correct car is insured only. The only time you might get an administration charge is if you change the plate and the insurance company is trying to make a quid off it!
