dan4
Who do the young drivers on here use for insurance? Im getting a little bored of the over 25 limit, especially suprised at Sky who wont quote yet happily took a grand off me for the Supra at 500bhp and now offer me back 200quid after barely 6months! Best quote i got so far is 1000 fully comp which i still think is steep, its hardly a high risk car
Ian
Bell.co.uk I've insured mine with them since I was

lilsheepshagga_turbo
u tried adding like an older more sensible driver as your second driver?? my mom knocks a kanny bit off for me.. worth a punt?!?
CK@Chris Knott Insurance
Just too many claims, Dan, for under 25's. The insurers can't sustain the losses.
dan4
Just too many claims, Dan, for under 25's. The insurers can't sustain the losses. but i have 6years NCB 3 of which on a heavily tuned supra and 2 of which on a tuned GT4, surely it counts for something. Im penalised for others mistakes And surely im less of a risk in a Z or something similar than with over 500hp under my right foot. People who specialise in this sort of car should in my opinion be competitive at least, but no normal companies that people like my parents use will happily insure me instead! dan4
u tried adding like an older more sensible driver as your second driver?? my mom knocks a kanny bit off for me.. worth a punt?!? will be adding the girlie which normally takes a bit off but its more of a "hun can you drive me home i want to get spasticated and make a fool of you"
Husky
its all just numbers to them im afraid your theres not much they can do. 900 quid for under 25 seems a common thing, and as mentioned, put your mum on or anyone you can think of it makes it cheaper. Vik54
Admiral came good for me - I am older but at moment have zero NCB, 3 points and three claims in last two years. Whats most wounding is that two claims are down as fault claims 'cos I had to settle 50/50 with elderly drivers and the other claim was someone backing their tow bar into me and driving off Chris Knott wouldn't even quote me as no 'performance' experience! Stew
I stuck with admiral this year for both my cars as I added my girlfriend to the policy. She was 23 today so too young to be quoted by the sponsors. It's a shame but I'll live!

rtbiscuit
its an age thing regardless of what power you have under your foot, its people under 25 that are most likely to go out in a ball of flames, be it with 1000bhp or 50 bhp when under 25's tend to crash regardless of your NCB's they tend to go for it big style. not putting a downer on your driving skills but the general under 25's as a group. like with anyone you have good drivers and you have bad ones. regardless of car power or time driving.
