adammitch69 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 like the title says, started getting the 'protect' message on my DNX 7200 a week ago, I reset the headunit and all is well. But its done it again and reset hasn't worked! I have taken it out and disconnected the speaker wires the Kenwood manaul says its a speaker shorting fault thats making the Headunit go in protection mode. Anyone got any ideas what it might be. Tried all the wires seperatly and still nothing!! cheers Adam Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Yeh, I had that with mine when I fitted the 2nd screen... It was the speaker cables, just get behind the unit and check the connections into the PAK connector Quote
adammitch69 Posted July 24, 2009 Author Posted July 24, 2009 I am using the rca's to connect to the bose amp. undid them, tried... and nothing. unplugged the speaker loom completly so just got the power connectors going in and still nothing. very strange!! Quote

adammitch69 Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 tried refitting my bose and that works fine - so I am assuming that the headunit is foooked. Looks like I'll be calling Kenwood on Monday morning and getting them to pick it up!! Quote

Dont think you have a duff unit though, it just dosnt like something! Quote
