Beavis
On his pc There is a god. He pm'd me for help. I was hoping it was him that had a virus when i saw the title Not sure swine flu could deal with him though. Anyhow me and IanS16 have sorted him out and he as 14 trogan horses running a mock on his computer. Ian put it down to gay porn sites Liam had visited Shame on you though for having no anti-virus software on your computer especially with your business dealings. So time to kick him whilst he is down. Fire at will

Beavis
I will say this once only if you want great security get this and its dirt cheap. There is no excuse http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... 64&subcat=
maxi-glasgow
I never keep any antivirus software running on any of my laptops, PC's etc as they just eat up your processing... 9 times out of 10 any problems you encounter are caused by spyware etc which mostly get by antivirus software anyway. So I just download, install AVG, run a scan, uninstall and carry on every month or two. Think I have only ever had 2 viruses in my lifetime (on the PC's that is...) and nothing too serious that couldn't be cured by the above actions. The amount of times I have been called out to a users laptop that is running like a pig, and when checking it's resources for processes running, 9 times out of 10 it's whatever the antivirus software the company uses is to blame, I have seen this for both McAfee Enterprise and also Sophos. Uninstall, reboot and reinstall fixes it every time.

If you are doing financial transactions over the net i would not feel safe with out them been on. Thank god it wasn't naked pictures of him again.......
M13KYF
to be fair, some of these trojans can be quite a pain in the backside. Having had issues both at work and at home previously I dont envy him at all we had one at home on monday. The wife was on the pc when it suddenly popped up a message saying virus detected, do you wish to remove it. All looking like windows style. The wife of course hit the yes button only to find out that this was the prompt to install the virus which looks like a anti virus removal program. The program loads up and says its detected the virus. To delete it you need to register, (payment of course). Very cunning. PC locked up. Had to go back to an earlier back up, install prevx (use this at work for mallware and virus detection and removal) and now its gone
