cpk
This is a bit of a long shot... I used to have an old A4 with a bose stereo. The speakers were 2 ohm and the amp had a stupid line in level - like the 350Z. With this in mind... Would an Audi Bose stereo (or any other brand of Bose - e.g. Porsche) be a straight swap into a 350Z? I'm guessing there are lots of other issues I've overlooked, bluetooth, wheel controls etc. etc.
sunset350z
I presume all the wiring loom will be different on the back of the replacement stereo, so may be a bitch of a job. If you have the audi system it may be worth offering it up to the Zeds bose and see if it fits. Personally though, if you are ripping out the stereo, then get an Alpine head unit Far superior to the bose
cpk
I don't have an audi system, I was merely speculating... Would an Alpine HU be compatible with the bose amps etc. or would I need another option?
sunset350z
Any replacement head unit will work, just as long as you buy the appropriate wiring to go with it.
cpk
OK, thanks for the info. I thought the bose amp required an unusual line in level not offered by other head units? I guess the wiring harness overcomes this?
