A few questions on the 350GT skyline please

Recommended Posts

Hi all, First off I know that this is a forum dedicated to the 350Z, but since the Skyline GT shares everything apart from the rear seats with the 350Z thought that this would be the best place to get some info.

I currently own a 94 soarer, and after 2 of these cars and 7and a half years ownership looking for a replacement early next year.

The choices are stick with the soarer (a younger 2.5turbo) one, or a skyline 350 GT.

Been trying to find out info on it in regards to the body, general faults and issues in relation to the drivetrain electrics etc.

1. Are the steel parts of the body galvanised in any way, to prevent rust, and any problems with paint fade etc.

2.Relaibility? I know Nissan are generaly reliable, but know that gearboxes can be alittle tempramentle in some of there earlier sports models.

Engine any issues and what to look for.

thats about it really, any help and advice appreciated

thanks Dave Mc Taggart

thanks for quick replys guys looking about Easter next year as should be off work for a week or to then a few good examples about on some of the import specialist garages so you never know, so are they galvanised or not?

Soarers don't tend to rust either on the panels or underneath, so will be looking for something thats going to look godd for about 5 years, (must get my moneys worth) :teeth:
