TDI
This supercharged engine suffered a catastrophic failure at an indicated 195 MPH in 6th gear with the techo needle bouncing off the rev limiter Pieces of the connecting rods are still spread over some Belgian tarmac I believe Here's what happens to the cylinder block when a connecting rod parts company. TDI
so you mean this engine has gone pop with an HKS SC and cossie internals????? TDI
Here's a picture of a Cosworth low compression forged piston undergoing the balancing checking process. These are very strong and are ideally suited to engines with a supercharger or turbocharger. The piston skirts have a super slippery anti-scuff coating too
TDI
These are the Cosworth/Carillo H section forged steel connecting rods fitted to the Cosworth pistons. Please note the design of the underside reinforcement of the pistons.
