tannerian
for once i have no silly questions to ask, and dont need advice - just wanted to share this with you I replaced the standard HU some time ago with this: INFINITY-REF6522si.jpg[/attachment] This is a very simple install compared to some of yours i have seen, but i truly cannot believe the difference in sound quality - i was considering a sub, but it really doesnt need it. I am amazed at the difference Just thought id share that!!!!

tannerian
erm....where's that upgrade list?!! No more plans as yet - though been out in it this afternoon, and deffo need a sub (small one, not chavvy!!)!! The frequency of the engine / exhaust noise completely drowns out any bass in the stereo!! Having siad that, another 30 or so BHP would be nice, but no easy way of achieveing this is there? tannerian
well, i invested in a small underseat sub - works a treat!! Never gonna keep up with the serious ICE installs, but still sounds good!!
tmJak
Have you got pic of the speaker installed in the door? Or is it covered up?
tannerian
no im afraid not - i followed the excellent guides elsewhere on this forum, and replaced the stock speakers with infinity's - the door cards and grill cover these up now
tmJak
Might do it myself then. . . always thought you'd have to bin the guard and somehow fettle them. Speakers seem to only be about £40 each as well
H5
Nice choice of kit, glad it's sounding good
confuzed
well, i invested in a small underseat sub - works a treat!! Never gonna keep up with the serious ICE installs, but still sounds good!! narcotix
Thread Revival ... I've been searching for Front Speakers that will be a directt replacement for the OEM ones ... I know most speakers don't clear the window glass properly ... but did these need any spacers / messing around with to fit? Thanks
un1eash
Following this guide.... http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Tutorial ... stallation It looks like if you use the original speaker bracket you can fit a decent size speaker in there. I plan to follow that guide when i do mine and my JL's are no way as deep as the one they used.
Shaun1982
If they are the shallow mount ones then i have those Narcotix, ive got 18mm spacers shaped like the standard speaker surrounds to get mine to fit, door panels fit fine & clears the window a treat. Also the cross overs fit in a shaped part behind the door panel
rtbiscuit
These might work without any adjustment or spacers http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine- ... mount.html
Shaun1982
As a guess id say they need spacers too, theres only 6mm difference between those & the infinity's but theres more than 6mm needed to get them away from the window
