Oill and Oil Pressure

Hi all

 

Just had my roadster a few days now, and now have a few questions regarding oil!

 

1. What pressure is normal in normal driving conditions and rest, etc?

 

2. What oil should I be using for an oil change? Are there any group buys, or do you have Oilman round these parts as well!

 

3. How much oil does it drink, I regulary check my cars oil, but being a new car I don;t know what I should be looking for in terms of how much it gets through?

Yes Opie are around these parts too, so you can still get good quality stuff at a good price. He will let you know what you need.

 

As for using oil, mine hasnt used a drop between services for 2yrs now. I check regularly, but it doesnt ever drop noticably.

Thanks in contact with Oilman now, man he gets around

 

He said 5/40, so will get some Motul I expect, used that before and liked it on other cars

 

What about the pressure, what shoudl I be looking at once warm, in traffic, under load etc

 

Also, how much oil do I need for an oil change

5 litres is enough bud, with a little spare

For an oil change including filter I think it's 4.7l that is required.

Just did an Oil change the other week! and sure enough sump capacity is 4.7Litres

Just dont forget the crush washer for the oil filter!!
