H5
My last car I cared about.... Then had the wheels powder coated Then it was stolen when I was burgled Got it back, minus the wheels. I already had the Zed at that point though.
stanski
Some very nice pics there mate ! Think everyone in the Universe has either owned borrowed or scrapped a Corsa in their life - even we had one - N reg in that weird - is it blue or is it purple colour! Like the wheels on the golf Weird coincidence last night? I was sat in The Bengal Dynasty in Queensferry on a mates leaving doo just happen to glance out of the window and my old van drives past! Still looks good and complete with the original dints That was 4 years ago I gave that away to mate at work (who then sold it the other year for spares!) Think everyone in the Universe has either owned borrowed or scrapped a Corsa in their life - even we had one - N reg in that weird - is it blue or is it purple colour! You're kidding!? That's what mine was!! Wasn't sure at first, but loved it against the nice hyper silver alloys and a mesh grille, not a common colour and it stood out. Thanks for the 'much love' on the Golf; it will be sadly missed.... but I s'pose i can make do with the zed Love the Van too - I absolutley WILL own a VeeDub van one day, preferably a splitty but hey, a dub van's a dub van! Looked like a cool motor there - bit of a stealth beast No, it wasn't. Luckily I took all the equipment out before it was stolen. As for a stealth beast, unfortunately not! It was a 1.9TD that had a good 150 kilos of ICE and other gadgets in it. It might have got going down hill but that was it! It was mainly dry weather cornering that it just stuck. Huge fun with it. I couldn't have anyone in the back or it was scraping time but it did get some looks and was in amazing condition.

Note you lot, don't leave your car sitting too long when Coops is about seems he likes donor cars.

Walbertonio
Some great stories and pictures there, damn shame what happened to that Cobra. Only a little history, but here it is anyway. Don't have pic's handy, so googled some similar. Started off with a £350 purchase of this powerhouse , a Daewoo Espero: http://www.tucarro.com.co/daewoo-TCMOD- ... go-826.jpg Ran pretty well for a year before a few issues with ABS and suspension convinced me to buy something else: http://www.find14u.co.uk/A1autos/client ... 0_2038.JPG Current car, probably paid over the odds for it by a margin, but it has been rock solid so far - leaving me free to save up for a 350z, in the not too distant future... Born-Again-Z
I was about to start a new thread regarding this, but I found this so i'll add to it. Here's my 98 Ford fiesta, passed on through the family to me in a lovely burgundy colour. Bit of a boy racer in my youth, but I was more in it for the speed than looks (with the Zed you get the best of both worlds ) Started of with just an exhaust system fitted to it and it kind of spiralled/snowballed out of control. Found a company called Pumaspeed and the rest was history. Put in a 1.7 puma engine with racing puma engine management with uprated cams. full milltek 4-2-1 stainless manifold with decat pipe exhaust system. Racing puma front seats (very expensive!) Was eventually gonna sort the bodywork out but one day while i was playing about looking for insurance quotes, I found that i could get insured cheaper on a 350z than i could with my fiesta so ended up selling it unfinished, wish i kept in touch with the new owner to see how it got on:
webber
Well....I dont know what I was thinking when I was 17... A lot of hard work and money when into this stupid corsa Then I got the Jap bug..... And then I needed more speed and rear wheel drive (Stage 3 - 350bhp ) And then the Zed came along, happy days

stanski
Hey some nice pictures and stories folks glad this thread is still going strong! Particularly love that old 78 Polo - mint! I saw a similar coloured Mk1 Golf locally a few years ago thinking it was looked after really well as it was pristine then I discovered it was the Golf Citi from South Africa where they still make them so it was brand new! What is it about early 90's and burgendy coloured cars eh? I had a Mk3 cavalier in the same colour! Hmm did that fiesta come with those blue seats from Ford ?? I think not Think they only made those Honda's in that colour green and nothing else - mate had the same one I think!! The Nissan looks cool btw - yet another roling road shot - these are getting common! Erm so you like MR2 Mk1's Ollie?? I am guessing there?? I love them - my mate still has his red one - he still hankers after a Mica Blue targa - but his is a boggo red one - its presently resting awaiting a slight freshen up on the paintwork but its mint and goes like stink! He and in particular that car got me into Jap stuff. I've never looked back ,glad I did'nt otherwise would'nt have found this cool group of internet weirdos I love wasting so much of my time with! Keep the pictures and stories rolling folks lot of new members on the forum recently get those Black and White Glass slides scanned in folks!
