ab350z
Just wondering how often the detail nuts on here do things? What sort of intervals for waxing, interior, cleaning in general? I did a pretty comprehensive clean on the car a couple weekends back that took the best part of 5 hours all in.
Ekona
Clay twice a year, wax every couple of months, good clean every week or so depending on how often I've driven it.

bronzee
Just wondering how often the detail nuts on here do things? What sort of intervals for waxing, interior, cleaning in general? The Zed gets a thorough wash every week, sometimes twice a week, if it's been out in the rain, or it's show season or there's an event on. Interior & vacuuming usually every couple of weeks. The wax I use lasts extremely well, but I just enjoy waxing the car, so usually once a month or 6 weeks at most, but could easily just wax the car once every 3 months or more easily in all honesty. Hmm, full scary detail, which will take at least 3 days or much longer if it's show season, usually about 3 - 4 times a year. All relative, if the weather is good or hasn't been used, no need to clean quite so often.

Stew
Emmmm I do what I can when I can to my cars. Just spend the last 2 days detailing a 13 year old XK8 with 114k on the clock. Looked almost new driving away!
jamesyj
I wash mine at least once a week, twice if weather permits. I'll wax it maybe every other time I wash it, time and weather permitting. I find it quite relaxing so I dont mind. If I get a full session in, I can easily spend 5-7 hours on it. I do the interior maybe once a month, it never gets dirty, just a little crap on the mats, that's all. If they get a little minging, I'll hoover them and the car looks mint again. Grantmitchell
As for a service - I'm not a pro. No I know but you seem to know what you are doing I need to spend some time on my car to get rid of the swirls from the previous owner, just wish I could have brought it out here a panel at a time cause Ive had nothing to do since I got here Need to look at a machine polisher I reckon

Now Stew if you could just do this on my van!

Chris`I
Now Stew if you could just do this on my van! Retrim my interior in Alcantara and leather Stan and I will polish your van for you, I have a machine polisher sat in the garage
H5
Wash every weekInterior every 2 week Engine Bay every month Wax once every 2 months Clay every 6 months + polish Pretty much the same but not necessarily wash every week if it hasn't been used. Easiest way to keep surface scratches and swirls out - don't touch the car!!
