Rob_Quads
Just wondered how complicated replacing the coolant is on the 350? Done it before on other cars and normally the key is the bleed the air out the bleed valves in a certain sequance. Is there something similar? Loath to spend an extra £30/£40 with Nissan for something I can do myself.
Chris`I
I've heard the Zed can be a right pain. Seeing Tony and Martin W try doing his after replacing his hoses, it didnt look simple. Takes quite a few cycles of reving it to 3kRPM, letting it cool, bleeding it and repeating from what others have said. Saying that, it depends how much your time is worth. If you dont mind taking a while to do it then I think its quite simple, just takes time
dcash5
Remember Martins is a fully closed system though. Shouldnt be difficult but then again I have never done it on a 350z just a few other cars
Martin W
To be fair, as dan correctly points out, mine has additional coolant pipes, and had its own challenges but the same routine should be followed. Drain. Refill slowly (The manual quotes a Litre per minute rate). DO at least 3 cycles of -allowing the engine to warm, - several cycles of 10 second 3000 rpm bursts - allow to cool to 50c whilst heater is at different settings.
