MiKyHuT
Hi, as you know, im swapping my fiesta ST at the weekend for a JDM Z. but my fezza has private plates on it and i have no clue how to transfer them and put the old ones back on the car? I mean the registration part of it, not the unscrewing them and putting the oldies back on before ya crack the wise remarks ha
nixy
There's a form you need to fill in at the post office and it will cost you £80 as far as I can remember.
sally
OK, Go to the DVLA website and you can download a form to retain your personal reg. Normally you would fill it in then stick it in the post but i think you are prpbably short of time. If you have a DVLA local office close to you then take the form to them with the logbook, details of the tax disc(they tell you on the form what you need to send/take in) and they will do it while you wait. They will issue you with a new reg (usually the original) so you can go and get your number plates made and fitted! They will put your reg on retention and when you get the log book for the Z, get it transfered! As easy as that!!

Stew
It will cost £105. You will have to retain the plate as you can't transfer it unless you have both cars in your possession. DVLA 5 mins, plate off. Get the Zed, DVLA 5 mins! Done!
