H5
Sounds like it could just be the normal noise the car makes with the clutch up (especially when warm I find). How old is the car? Do you know if it has an aftermarket flywheel?

ab350z
Wouldn't take it to Nissan, they'll prob tell you it is the clutch, even if it isnt! "Oh yeah son, the whole thing has to come out, here's the bill.........." - thats just from my experience.
mercurial
Just read somewhere, could it be wearing in the driveshafts that makes that noise?? Don't think it has a non standard flywheel, and even when warmed, sound is present... might just live with it for now, and see if it get's any worse... as ab350z said, don't really feel like getting screwed... any of u know of a recommended servicing place in Surrey?? ZMANALEX
How old is your 8000 mile car ? U.K. or JDM ? Gearboxes are known to be rather noisy, as is the clutch bearing and the idler gear. Drive shafts will not give off the symptoms that you have described. Alex.
