mick43
What's optimum tyre pressure people have found for track day antics ? I'll just be doing one or two 15 minute sessions at Silverstone on Sunday. I'm thinking of dropping a couple of pounds all round - any recommendation from the trackers (I haven't tracked the Z before and if only one/two short sessions it's not much time to play with different settings). Thanks.
Greekman
If you v got potenzas 34 all over will do. used 36 on MPS and found the steering better. MPS have soft side walls and 34 was bad for the side walls as well...

Ekona
Leave them exactly as they are, unless you really want to save tyre wear then you want to raise them by about 5psi all round. Definitely don't drop pressures, you'll kill your tyres.

ZMANALEX
I go out at 35psi all round from cold with my 888's After a few laps once the tyres are up to temperature I adjust the pressures, which usually requires me letting considerable air out (12psi) as the temps are now around 47psi. I find driving the 888's when really hot and sticky between 33 and 35psi gives me optimum grip.
Ekona
Well worth putting nitrogen in the tyres if you're going to be doing plenty of track work. I've used it a few times now and it really does make a difference.
