jamesyj
Oo er! For some reason I have it in my head that the gearknob I'm looking for should be an 12mm? Should I be looking for an 10mm? I would just like some clarification. I have a UK 55 plate. Innuendo welcome!

jamesyj
I've searched high and low, all over this forum. Still no joy as to whether my shaft is 10mm or 12mm... Just seeing if someone knew so I didn't have to get in the car, start faffing with the knob etc.

I think that's what stuck in the back of my mind that made me think it's a 12mm. There does seem to be a bit of confusion about peoples shaft sizes. Or perhaps Nissan thought some people simply couldn't manage a 12mm and so they downsized to a more manageable girth of shaft? I've just measured mine all scientifically with a caliper and everything, 10mm. I do love innuendo
Grantmitchell
I have it on good authority (well it cost me a donation to the raffle of the century) that the shaft is.... 10mm x 1.25 thread so it appears your vernier has allowed you to come up with the correct answer
