Nearly there....

I'm drove past a van on the way out of Cumbria doing about 75-80 on a big straight dry A-road. And of course it wouldn't be unusual to recieve anything from the police infested wales run!

I will be very happy if the trip was point free! :drunk::clap:

I just renewed my insurance and my recent 3 point birthday present made about £50 difference to the premium which I didn't think was too bad.

When I did a quote a few nights back mine went down about £150 with the addition of 6 points :teeth: I did turn 25 recently though so thats probably part of the discount

I wont get one, as I stuck to the speed limits. The wales trip for me is about creating a spectacle, without making a spectacle of ourselves.

We specifically involved the police in order to further back up our main goal of keeping the drive safe, enjoyable and free from incident. If anyone does get a NIP from the Wales trip, then they didnt take any notice of what we and/or the police said on the morning of the drive.

I'm not saying i was speeding on the day, but i did nearly have a fright when we hadn't seen a 40 sign in absolutely ages and we nearly convinced ourselves it had changed back to NSL without us noticing, especially as we weren't near any settlements. There we no cars in front to check us so we nearly upped the speed onto a straight only to see a scamera van at the far end, causing me to brake back down from the 50 i had crept up to.

I thought that as they were basically waiting for us round the route, they were hoping to bag a load of the usual easy 46 in a 40 stuff as above. And i think that just isn't cricket!
