rtbiscuit
i'm in the process of dealing with the same issue with nissan GB. was last told that i was not a loyal customer so they wouldn't do the work. so i wrote them a letter, that was 3 weeks ago, rang them today, and apparently they sent my reply just before the bank holiday. so hopefully have their latest reply tomorrow. if its not what i want to hear i'm back on the phone. nissan are going to fix my problem, they just don't realise it yet. its a nissan fault, i didn't cause it through wear and tear, its due to an issue at the factory, its a noted problem, its theirs to pay for and fix. and thats the line i'm taking, and no is not a reasonable answer. R800NER
right, I am finally getting somewhere. I took the car into Nissan, they said they would check with their service manager. Here's the annoying bit! She says that the GTR specialist and service manager have talked and that because I fitted "racing brakes" that it would be a squeak. I said, well that's a totally different story to what you said before!! I get put onto the service manager, who I must say was very helpful and I explained the clicking axle issue to her. She said that it was an issue known to Nissan and that I would need some new clips and a grease and rotate. I await her phonecall back to let me know if they have them. Should I still push for 50/50 on this or am I about to get a massive bill from Nissan Makes me laugh how they tried to fob me off though!! R800NER
It's booked in for Wednesday, they had to get parts in (presumably the clips?). They didn't mention cost....I presume they are paying for it? Originally I was quoted £150 to get it fixed.
ZMANALEX
Presume nothing........... Best to ask so that there are no nasty shocks
R800NER
I sent an email explaining everything to the service manager, they fixed the clicking with the grease and rotate job (with new clips) and I ended up paying £0. They pushed it through Nissan GB and fixed it free of charge. Happy ending for me Car feels different, almost faster and more responsive...smoother and less clunky, how it was meant to be!
