ZeddZ
the rotation arrow is correctly aligned, but i was wondering if it was possible to mount the rears on the front and vice versa. its sliding around every corner at any speed, feels ten time worse than the bridgestones, and I never thought i would ever say that. I wouldn't worry to much about that yet.I put Falkens on mine and for the 1st 6 or 7 hundred miles I thought peoples reviews of them were **** takes.I absolutely hated them and nearly took them off but as they bedded in they improved no end. I would be more worried about the wheels.Thats bloody shocking.
uzthedentist
thats absolutely horrendous, give them an ear bashing next week off topic but are you a dentist by the way?

MITZ@CougarStore
Gurjeet, that's truly shocking, you sure they gave you back your own wheels...
M350ZB
I dont think they can put them on the wrong way, as the fronts have a stop on them, to simply stop this happening
Gurjeet
i am hoping this is a tremendous hoax. its somewhat ironic that they refurbished them last week. i wait to see how bolshy the chap is tomorrow
nixy
the good thing about that is that THEY did the refurb so they know full well that you haven't done that to your wheels. Can't wait to hear how this gets resolved. Very best of luck, let us know.
Richie
I dont think they can put them on the wrong way, as the fronts have a stop on them, to simply stop this happening I think nissan knew what the mechanics were like when the added this safeguard! Seriously shocking tho. Mine have a load of marks around the nut holes on 1 wheel but they will be refurbed once the fronts start bubbling too ^^ The nissan dealer I spoke to said they use a socket with a nylon washer to try and stop that happening, but its only on the Zeds, other cars dont seem to suffer, it seems your garage decided to use a normal socket! Cragus
Sound good Gurjeet. Not a fan of arnolds at all but I am sure they will manage a tyre change with no glitches. I paid £150 per corner to have bridgestone RE050s fitted recently and part of me wishes I had went for the toyo......they have an amazing looking tread! Dare I quote my first message in the thread????

Cragus
point taken Not a dig mate. Just wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. I wouldn't let them change the wipers on my car! Go in all guns blazing....which arnolds was it?

I would recommend a cool approach to be honest.

They are qualified mechanics - this shouldn't be happening. Unless they let the YTS boy on your car.....
Gurjeet
dont worry, it wasnt taken as a dig, just a sinking sense of realisation when i saw the state they were in. It was the dealer in mount vernon, next to motorpoint and all the other dealers. I also find the cool approach is the most appropriate also, tends to get the best results. AndWood
I had Toyo's fitted a few weeks ago at the same time as having the wheels refurbed when I left the garage and headed on to a dual carrige way the car wobbled all over the place to the point I thought a wheel was loose, I drove home slowly and rang the garage ranting . Later that evening when the traffic had died down I took it back out and it was much better and over the next week it got better every time I drove it and they are now running fine. I thought I was going mad but after reading your post its making me wonder.
rtbiscuit
toyos have a great knack of feeling terrible when first fitted, i had it on my old car when i had some, thought the tyre walls were like jelly. reason is the release agent that they put in the moulds when they make the tyres. takes about 400 miles to wear away. just take it steady till you've used a full tank of fuel with them. H5
Truly shocking! They've clearly used an air gun and then proceeded to chuck the wheels around with no regard to any potential damage. Give em hell!!
Chesterfield
Absolutely no problem with having a dealer named and shamed here for that sort of work! What a disgrace!! I use a tyre place close to me that most people would drive past as it looks more like a shed with tractor tyres and HGV wheels piled outside. You would expect them to be fitting tyres with lump hammers and crowbars. However they take great care, and have changed the tyres on my cars several times without any damage to any rims at all, and they charged me less than £20 to do all four. When you find a place that changes your tyres without any damage, stick with them for life! The pictures posted here demonstrate a complete and utter lack of care and attention, and a total disregard for the customers property. DavidS14
Are you sure that they are the rims that the car went in with ? Or is there another Z with a spanking set of just refurbed Rays out there which had some damaged ones only a few days ago as you said that the blue spot you remember was missing ?
sunset350z
Once you have the rays refurbed the spot is painted over anyway. Only original wheels will have that identifying mark on them.
Gurjeet
Just back from dealer. Service manager was there, took one look, apologised, said they would take care of all damage immediately, going back on monday to agree on solution and timescale. Very decent about it. On one hand happy, on the other I was spoiling for a fight. My question - will this affect the wheels long term if they are refurbed? I assume this will be the solution offered to me on monday.
