Maccaman
Hi & welcome to the forum. If you do a search in the Advanced Search (top right) for new headunit you will find lots of posts that should answer any questions you have.

Ekona
Is it a Bose? Is it stock? Then it it's amplified as far as I know. There's so much info on the ICE side of this car on this site it's untrue, and if you'd looked at the FAQs then you'd have found this. Guest Gmac101
Hi Dan, Yes it is a bose mate. Sorry if I can't find the info - I'm new to this site and forums in general. Thanks for helping.
Stew
Check out the ice section. Rob Quads made a guide of exactly what you need for changing out the BOSE as it's not just as easy as plug and play.
H5
If it is BOSE then yes it is amplified. You will have one amp for the speakers and a separate one for the sub behind the drivers seat if you have one installed?

yokomo
so if the bose unti is amplified then does that mean that even if you put in an aftermarket HU it wont use the HU's amps ?
splash
Can anyone find the guide to changing the BOSE unit and post the link please as i'm also having a few issues finding it This guide helped me a lot for my install here's the link: http://www.my350z.com/forum/audio-video ... nitor.html
H5
so if the bose unti is amplified then does that mean that even if you put in an aftermarket HU it wont use the HU's amps ? That's correct. But you need a PAC ROEM adaptor to get the BOSE amps to work with an aftermarket headunit as the BOSE input level is odd.
Rob_Quads
PAC ROEM or ICT lead which means you can also retain your steering wheel controls (audio only not hands free) and doesn't need any splicing (well bar earth but both need that)
