T2JOU
I thought it was time to try and get rid of the thing thats been most annoying me about my zed, black unpainted parking sensors! After searching I found a handy post saying that they should be ok to paint, so long as you don't paint inside the grooved out bit, has anybody done this? If so does it make any difference how much primer/top coat? Any handy hints on how to get them out of the bumper would be appreciated too! These are the sensors I have... Also wheres the best place to get (gunmetal) paint from? Holdcraft looks good if the 20% discount still works. Sorry for all the questions, just don't want to make a bodge job! Cheers, Mike
IanS16
Mike, Before fitting to the vehicle, mount the sensors in a piece of cardboard and apply two thin coats of spray paint followed by one thin coat of lacquer (for metallic colours). Do not apply the paint with a brush and do not apply too thickly. (got this from another forum and it seemed to work ok after) Not sure of where to get gunmetal paint though Ian
