Dex
I've installed a Pioneer FH-P80BT with the 350z ISO loom and the steering controls. I've powered it all up and I have power, the aerial works, the steering controls work but I have no sound at all. I've looked at it for about four hours today and I can't work out what I've done. I've attached a pic of what I've done in the vain hope that someone can suggest what to do or how to diagnose what's wrong. Can anyone suggest common gotchas that I should check? Any help or advice you can give would be much appreciated.
rtbiscuit
my guess is the speakers are wire dup backward somewhere, i vagly remember if on an old headunit setup i had the rear parcel shelf speakers on bullet connectors, if you wired the polarities up backwards you got no sound. try swapping over some of the connectors, possibly the RCA leads in the back of the headunit, or try reversing the ISO connectors
H5
Looking at that and making an educated guess, I would say the amp isn't powering on and the reason is the remote lead isn't connected properly......?
BulletMagnet
Looking at that and making an educated guess, I would say the amp isn't powering on and the reason is the remote lead isn't connected properly......? ...the blue cable...which H5 mentioned in the other thread
Dex
It was indeed the blue amp control. Thanks everyone for your help - it's all sorted now. This is a great forum - really responsive and helpful.
