matth76
Hi How can I tell if my rear view mirror is auto dimming? It doesn't appear to be working as I've been in a car with an auto dimming mirror and it was very dim compared to my 350. Also I have read there is apparently supposed to be a "compass" in the right section of the mirror of a 2003-2005 http://www.350z-tech.com/w/images/7/7d/05062_1.gif - I've no idea why you would need it but I definitely don't have one - does anyone else? rtbiscuit
auto dimming units tend to be bulkier and have 2 led lights underneath, normally one is glowing slightly. as for the 350z having them, i've never seen a car with them, but if it was an aftermarket addon i'd be tempted. Zazur
It should look like this The autodimming is not too good, my Lexus GS 430 mirror goes really dark at night but I hardly notice anything on the Z. I can't see the compass either if mine is meant to have one
