CaptainSensible
I’ve had my Zed for just over a fortnight now and generally loving it, but there are a couple of questions I have: Firstly, over the last few days with the great weather have been driving around with the windows down. Have noticed that when giving it the beans that I hear a slight whine from the transmission, sounds a little bit like a supercharger if I’m honest, although my car isn’t supercharged! Does anyone else get this or could it indicate a problem? Secondly, the Bluetooth phone kit. Unfortunately the dealer I bought my Z from lost my manual. I have found a PDF of a American manual online but it has no mention of how the Bluetooth system works. It would be pretty handy to get it set up, anyone know where I can find a guide? Thanks. srobrien
Can't help with the Bluetooth, but I think the whine is a common thing, i get it anyway, don't think its anything to worry about, probably an alternator/grounding issue. R

martinmac
I hope this is of some help. Voice command mode is activated by the LH middle switch on the steering wheel (the little face with sound waves coming out of it). On first use you will need to enable it with a PIN number, e.g. for your specific mobile phone or for the Bluetooth adapter. Say "Enter PIN" and when the system replies speak the four numbers of the PIN. Other voice instructions available are then: "Delete" "Delete all" "Repeat" to correct and check your PIN entry. "Dial" and "Redial" "Store name" and then follow the system voice prompts. Repeat "Store" when correct number successfully accepted. You can also use "Delete", "Delete all", "Delete first" and "Delete last" to make corrections. "Repeat" to verify the number entry. "Dial name" lets you recall a stored number by speaking the stored name. "Dial number" allows you voice input the number to be dialled. After speaking the number and hearing confirmation, say "Dial" "Play names" or "Play phone book" or "List phone book" or "Read phone book" will get the system to tell you who is stored. Remove names via "Delete name" and following the system voice prompts.

CaptainSensible
Thanks gents, have put my mind at rest. Plus will give the bluetooth a try. I did try to search but obviously not hard enough as couldn't find anything. Driving over to Cardiff tonight for dinner, looking forward to doing a racing start at the bridge toll.
