vasser
Hi Folks. So here is the story need, a new suspension kit for the car consisting of Anti-Roll Bar Links, Shocks,Springs and Drop links. Think i will have to buy the drop links seperate though. Lookin for ideas, wanting a decent set, Aftermarket performance is O.K. but don't want a ride so stiff i break my back. Any ideas of where to look, or tested and approved sets by you guys n gals would be great. Don't fancy taking on this job either so will send it to a mechanics, any idea how long it will take to fit. i.e. labour costs. Cheers
Andy
CS is your best bet, he is a trader on here and supplies all you need
Chris`I
Most seem to go for one of the KW kits. Meant to work very well on the Zed. I want the Variant 1s as I will never tune them but like you am worried that day to day driving will suffer. Hopefully will get out in a Zed with them in at some point! martinmac
I have KWvar 3 and a dodgy back and I am quite comfortable in the zed on long runs.
MrLizard
i have the variant 2's and must say with the standard seats it isnt too bad the ride is stiffer but not so noticeably it hurts, you can of course set the v2's to break your back if you like though the arbs wont make much difference to back breaking but will stiffen the chassis through the corners noticeably I would also suggest PM'ing CS
3FIDDYZ
RS*R Sports I coilovers, Nismo Antiroll bars on mine and cant fault either of them. Sports*i's are 32 way adjustable so can be set up and tuned to meet your needs and requirments. Anti Roll bars are about 25 to 30 mins as long as no issues removing blots. coilovers are about 45ish mins per corner, no idea on drop links but cant be long. Then you have tracking and adjustment that will take about another 45 mins to an hour... Also depending on if your dropping the car or running 19's you may need to consider getting some camber arms as the stock ones wont give you the adjustment you need... Also Tein do a nice set with a funky EDFC so you can control the dampers on the fly. Think a few people run these. As an alternative to CS, ENVY can also get kit (PM Chilli Red on here). Zmanalex is doing a GB on the drop links at the mo. Mark
MITZ@CougarStore
Hi Vas, hope you got the exhaust fitted now... I've got a few suspension goods available, springs and coilovers... Ian
Cusco Zero-2 coilovers with cusco ARBs on mine A bit bumpier than oem but i've got mine set to the middle stiffness. Mine is dropped on 19s & didnt need camber arms, I'm running a bit of negative camber but not a huge amount

Yeah just fitted the exhaust today, Would have done it sooner but just back home from work yesterday. Was gone to sent you a PM to say how good the new system was. Great note from the back. Took it for a run straight away and am not entirly happy with the front suspension. Think the Shocks are well on there way out. Did have a look at your site, but might have to wait to next pay check before i can treat myself. Really happy with the new exhaust. Told myself when i got the car that i would keep it standard, but think i might be getting this modding bug thats going around.

Anything to do with going sideways round the corner on a patch of mud on the last run? R

Adriank
Eibach coilovers would be a good way to go, not over expensive, and will still retain some ride comfort. CS can supply these, and the Eibach ARB kit to match them would be ideal.
Adam@Z1auto.com
what year is the car? what are your primary uses? what tires are you running? have you owned a fully adjustable suspension in the past? fwiw - Eibach coilovers are KW's. They work well on the softer settings. They are less than ideal on the stiffer settings, as they become out of shape quite easily (in other words, rebound rate doesn't match the compression). All relative to your budget, and uses though. V3's are much better, but take considerable time to really set up well, as they are independant adjustments for compression and rebound.
