jerry3167
Is it worth using INJECTOR cleaner additives such as STP, WYNNs etc every 6 months, or is it a waste of money? Do they actually help maintain clean fuel lines and injectors? Your experiences and opinions are apprciated!! Jerry
martinmac
Optimax or Tesco 99RON have detergents and additives that take care of all that. Regular use of these fuels ensure you never get a build up of anything. I think they are mainly used for 95 Ron cars which do a lot of miles around towns. jerry3167
Would ESSO ULTIMATE 97 RON or BP Ultimate 97 ron be of similar quality?
martinmac
I suggest a good blast in the car will clear any muck. A run round wales for example
R35LEE
Jerry, I've just got some of this for Madden. Carlube injector cleaner is a good additive! If you always use good fuel its not really needed but can't hurt to drop one in every 6 months or so. All the info on improved power etc is bull unless your running a race or turbo powered car. ZMANALEX
Total waste of money if used on a regular basis if you are running on proper fuel. You only have a problem when you have a problem and that is the time to use it. I use it periodically just to clean all the @*!# out on the TT.
