MattMe
Right, I seem to be confused, again. I was going to perform the simple task of purchasing some brake fluid... Apparently (so I've read in other posts) the 350z doesn't use synthetic brake fluid and recommends not to use synthetic. But it looks like every DOT4 fluid I've found IS synthetic. Is this right? I thought DOT 5 was synthetic. Does anyone know of any DOT4 which isn't synthetic and where I can buy it from? So if I do buy synthetic DOT4 will I have to drain the entire system? Just wanted to flush out the lines really, not have to drain the whole reservoir too. Ta.
Chris`I
Dont know about that. I and a lot of others use Motul RBF600 which is a DOT4 synthetic with the boiling points of a DOT5.1. Win win all round
MattMe
I just realised my problem. I was confusing 'synthetic' with 'silicone' (as in DOT5). So - I've purchased some Motul Dot4 from Opie oils and will be replacing it this weekend. Hopefully this will bring an end to my stupid questions... For now.
