Guest prescience
The above numbers are too low I think because as I have noted elsewhere and can be seen here, the duty is payable on the cost plus shipping and VAT on top of that. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2039 Assuming, 4% duty and 1.8 exchange rate works out at £804 according to me. there might also be a small handling cost (freight surcharge) - mine was £11.00 Please feel free to put me straight but I just want people to know as accurately as possible the cost - and it is still a very good price HOWEVER, I did just look back at my own invoice and the VAT and Duty was not charged on the shipping - despite the rules; guess I owe the Govt some dosh The maximum it will be is given above, let's leave it at that

Blacky
Prescience mate the prices for the exhaust and shipping have been confirmed as stated, as I have been saying, I am not asking for any commitment at the moment. Once I get all the info I will ring customs and excise and get the prices. I am currently waiting for a reply from another company who may be able to offer a better deal. I would expect to get orders under way in the next couple of weeks.
Digsy
Just to say, Blacky, that your hard work on this one is much appreciated!
Sarnie
I saw a client of mine today who turned out to be a Jap Import Car Tuner Told him I was getting a Nismo zorst and he said that he could produce me a bespoke custom exhaust of the exact same spec/ noise etc for £375! Now, the only down side I can see is that 'NISMO' won't be etched into the tailpipes and an extra £400 in my pocket? He started spouting all this techie exhaust babble and he lost me at that point I know MARK will say 'but its not Nismo' which is fair enough but at that price I surely can't knock it? Or can I? What are the potential pitfalls?

Blacky
Just a quick update to let you all know whats going on. I have now had similar prices from 3 suppliers for 7 units. We now have 18 intersted parties in total from both sides. So I am just awaiting prices based on 15 units allowing for a few dropping out. Once I have these I will set a date for everyone to decide if they definately want one. [/b]

Sarnie, Did you find out whether this was the original manufacturer of Nismo equipment before it went to Nismo (as they don't make them allegedly) or whether a similar design from another 3rd party etc? Surely gotta be worth looking into for that difference in price...... ? And Blacky, still defo interested in this group buy....

Jacko
Blacky, Just to let you know that I'm probably going to remove myself from the group buy. I was well up for the Nismo at the price it looks like you are getting it for, but just by chance, managed to get a good deal on a DC Sports Cat Back system on Ebay. I'm still waiting for it to arrive, but all being well then I won't need to buy a Nismo. If for any reason I don't like it etc, or its damaged (hopefully not) then I might still want to take part. Sorry to muck you about, wasn't really looking,..... just that saw it from Mike's spottings and ended up being a decent deal. Mark
