Had a problem yesterday when driving the 350z. as was driving along i turned the air con switch on and immediately the car stalled and all the lights illuminated on the dashboard.

The car wouldn't start for a hour or so and seemed to work again fine albeit with the engine warning light on. I've noticed now that whenever i go to switch the air con on the car the engine stalls and again the same problem occurs...

was wondering as a new 350z owner if anybody has encountered this problem before??

Hi and welcome to the forum. :D

A few quick question to get things rolling..

Is the car a uk or import.

How old is it ( and the battery).

An ECU reset may be worth a try, there is a guide on here.

Car is UK, 53 reg. so is old in regards to UK Motors.

I admit i dont know if it is a battery issue as volt indicator stays within normal range and all other electrics continue to work as normal..

Possibly a faulty aircon control unit, alot of instruments seem to rely on this controller for some reason? Im no expert but seems like it could be a possibility.

Alot of things rely on the ACM Its a white box-unit behind the center console... would take about 45mins diy to swap it out if you can get a used module from a breakers.

...but i couldnt say if that is actually causing the problem.
