NWZ
As my P3 is due I was wondering, should I continue with my 0w40 oil or should I really change to 5w 30 as recommended? Trouble is, every few k my oil needs topping up 1/2 litre as expected so do I have to buy the same oil from the dealer if they provide 5w 30 or can I mix it with 0w 40 (as I have this in my garage). What's the difference? Are they both fully synthetic? Yes, I tried search but it's not much cop isnt it!
tmJak
Wouldn't mix them personally. I use Millers 10w60 as recommended by BigPhil.
Beavis
You should have no problems mixing oil grade or type. But i am using Amsoil 5-30 fully synthetic and would only really use the same to top up.

NWZ
Interesting point Mike. I have been running the 0w40 for over 12 months and without any complaints from Nissan Chorley. Will ask Lockwood what they advise and stick to that this time I think though.

Not exactly what I was after but some interesting reading none the less http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... light=thin

NWZ
Cheers Mike - thanks for the links. Think I'll drop the 0w40 then and go for the 5w30
