ianwynneuk
Hello all, I am new here and for the past 5+ years have been longing for a 350Z. I have had various reasons not to get one because my 53 Hyundai Coupe does all of these jobs. Could people help on the following for me? Can you fit two mountain bike in the back/boot? Does anyone do mountain biking and own one of these cars? Economy. I only do about 3000 miles a year and 1500 of these is cross continent motorway bashing so reasonable economy is useful. Miles obtained per tank on the motorway? DIY possibility? I like to do most of my own work and have had no issue so far including discs, pads, major service, electric window motors, etc. I am looking at a 2002 model - any advice against not buying or buying one of these? Thanks a bundle! Ian
clarkie34
I have never tried to get 2 mountain bikes in the boot, but I very much doubt you will. There is a rear strut brace that cuts the boot in half and makes putting things in very difficult.
P15UL T
welcome mate, i wouldnt have thought it would be possible to get a bike in, even a kiddies bike would be a struggle
Maccaman
I'd be gobsmacked if you could get one in the boot never mind 2. 2002 would be an import, apparently the ECU doesn't cancel any engine mods.
Adriank
Have tio agree on this one, 2 bikes is never going to happen, prob not even 1 bike! If you had said 2 bags of Golf Clubs however....
3FIDDYZ
One will fit, 2 bikes wont... But also depends on the bikes, racing bikes will fit, not sure about mountain....
ianwynneuk
Thanks for replies It would be two mountain bikes and I would remove front and back wheels. How about a bike rack on the rear - has anyone fitted one of these? I also forgot to mention that I would like to fit a snowboard bag in there - any chance of this? Maybe I am looking at the wrong car and hould go for something like a Monaro? Any thoughts? Ian
BulletMagnet
I suppose the only kind of cycle you'll be able to fit into the back of a Zed is a unicycle, and even then it might be a tight fit. I think your onto something with the Monaro tho. Good luck with your search
rayrrr
I have had my eye on this one for a while. Check the website, but i think you can buy an accesory that allows two bikes intsead of one. http://boofsquire.com
ianwynneuk
Also thinking of the previous model Civic Type R - shame about the Zed tho as I love the looks and the noise. Fantastic. Will have to wait for that garage Ian
