madhops87
Can someone confirm the differences between the 296hp and the 309hp. Are there any physical differences? Just asking cos my zed is on a 56 plate but registered in jan 07. Its a 296bhp right?
Ekona
If it's got two intakes under the bonnet, it's the 309 version, if it's just the one on the pax side of the engine bay then it's the 296. A bulge on the bonnet is the other giveaway, but bonnets can be replaced.
matth76
More than likely it's the mark 2 296bhp version. Don't know of any 56 platers being the latest model. Only a very few 07 reg plates are actually the 309bhp model, most are still mark 2. The majority only came in on the mid 2007 57 plates. As said above look under the bonnet for the two air filters, one each side of the engine bay.
Fien
I've heard that the 309 model has an illuminated ignition socket as well!! why they felt the need to do this i have no idea but i guess the designers needed to do something! I think you'll find that it was introduced on the 06 model, along with the revised interior..
