ab350z
So, Sunday morning I'm having my well deserved long lie and the door bell goes off. I ignore it in favour of staying in bed. The person leaves and I hear them go up the stairs and knock on the next flat, then the next one. I'm thinking Jehovah's Witness'. They ring the bell on the way back down and the g/f urges me to go get it. Throw on a tshirt and open the door, greeted by a policewoman. "Sorry to bother you, but did you hear any noise between 10pm and 5am last night?" "Eh nothing unusual, why?" "Cant really comment. Your neighbour below said she saw you outside at about 10pm" "Yeah we'd been down at the cinema, just got home" "Did you notice if the back gate was open and the back door?" "No" "OK, thanks for your time" Off she went and I went back to bed........ Gave the g/f a lift home later and bumped into my neighbour below, who explained why the police were round...... Someone during the night had climbed our 8ft high exterior wall, had picked up a large breeze block, used it to stand on and had tried to open her back window with a screwdriver, when they failed to do this, they picked up another breeze block and hurtled it through her kitchen window!! srobrien
Aaaah that P*sses me off, i am fed up of these minks in Aberdeen who feel it ok just to break into your place. I own another flat on great northern road which i rent out, the communial front door is always getting kicked in and i have actually seen groups of neds walking up the road trying all the doors in sequence to see if one is open IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. Please refer to "Chav Scum" topic for a list of suitable punishments..plus you can add garotting with their own minescule manhoods to the bottom of that! ab350z
Yeah I actually think my sub-consious kicked in last night when i went to bed cos i kept thinking I heard stuff outside! Its not a bad area either, its a fairly quiet street off Union Grove, nowhere near any pubs or anything.
bronzee
At least the rubbish didn't hurt anyone. Still not fair, makes you kind of hope there is such a thing as Karma.
S1 HNK
and yet if you kept a baseball under your bed and attacked them with it, you'd be the one facing charges!!
bronzee
and yet if you kept a baseball under your bed and attacked them with it, you'd be the one facing charges!! And that's the totally ridiculous thing. You're not allowed to defend yourself or your property. Society and political correctness gone mad.
Cara
Scary, no wonder you were aware of every little noise after that. Druggies (or kids) more than likely.... My office in Bon Accord Square got broken into last week. No doubt there is absolutely no chance of catching the thieving scum
