hotrain69
hello guys, i have just taken delivery of my first zed whoop whoop! and i promise i will get an intro up with pics soon. although it feels like i've been on here for ages. just a question. the car i bought had ice system fitted. the dealer didnt know much about it and i didnt get to speak with the previous owner. but everything works fine. from what i can see, it's got an Alpine W502R head unit with a reverse camera. it is also fitted with bluetooth for phone and an ipod connect and finally audiobahn sub. the only thing that is missing is that it doesnt hook up onto the steering wheel control. because i'm not too confident on taking apart the interior myself and doing the wires. can anybody advise me where and what places will help me sort out the steering wheel control problem, will halfords do it? thanks alot in advance. 3FIDDYZ
Will prob need an ICT cable thats listed on here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16403 do you know if yours was Bose or not? Try Halfords but you may also want to try asking a monkey with a tambourine ... Probably both as good as each other for sorting out Zed audio! 3FIDDYZ
Nope, no idea on that one.... Car gets driven cause its a car.... Would let steering wheel controls on a stereo get in the way of driving it!
rtbiscuit
you may find that the steering wheel controls were disconnected when the headunit was fitted, as they might not have been directly compatible. but a decent ice specialist should be able to get back most if not all functions. but it may be the fact that the two aren't compatible and that you cna only control it direct from the headunit
