PZR
Well, some **** in the supermarket decided to key the door panels, i rubbed it with my finger and some of it came off, so it doesn't appear to be to deep, I wondered if there is anything you guys can think of that'll get it out well? Some Meguiar's clay or something? Thanks The smudged area is where I tried to rub it out http://www.twobeds.com/upload/userfiles ... cratch.jpg http://www.twobeds.com/upload/userfiles ... ratch2.jpg http://www.twobeds.com/upload/userfiles ... ratch3.jpg http://www.twobeds.com/upload/userfiles ... ratch4.jpg http://www.twobeds.com/upload/userfiles ... ratch5.jpg
350Znismo
I would just t-cut it back and polish it with a colour coded polish, if your finger nail can feel a grove you will need to have it sprayed. Looking at the pictures most should t-cut out.
Chesterfield
Agree - some light t-cutting should hopefuly do the trick. If not then a bodyshop may be able to use a polisher to help out. A colour match polish may also help fill any more serious damage without the need for spraying. Makes me bloody mad that society today breeds the kind of brainless shits that will do this to other peoples property.
Guest prescience
Its like the people who carve their initials on trees, monuments etc seeking some kind of immortaility by so doing ... it must readily be admitted that for people of such mentality, it is probably their only chance
lomoto
God if someone had done that to my car I wouldnt be able to sleep for weeks thinking about the retribution I would bestow on them if I could catch ,em... Best get an electric polishing buff with medium cut polish and see if the worst will come out , be carefull you dont cut right through lacquer coat though.. Do you think T-Cut or Meguiar's ScratchX would be best? If it's going to end up costing alot to get the equipment to get it out, it may end up cheaper and easier to just take it to the mitsubishi dealership over the road where it was bought, what do you reckon? They valet and clean up the bodywork at every service and MOT and seem to do a good job. Thanks for the help everyone.
l33r0y
Try ScratchX first - thats fine for concentrating of specific areas. I doubt Mitsubishi would be interested in bodywork, they'd refer you to to a body shop.

Well they do all the body repairs for the cars before they sell them, and fix any scuffs and whatnot at every service and MOT and always do a good job, so it's worth seeing if they'll do it and how much for. PZR
Well some good old fashioned T-Cut and it's hardly visible anymore, and that was just a quick rub down with it, when some time is spent on it they should be gone completely, wasn't as bad as it first appeared
