mick43
Booked for next week so will report back on experience. I searched forum and couldn't find any previous reviews, so I hope will be ok. I have choice of using own oil or their standard 5/40 semi synth (Havolene). Not sure if I should treat it to superior brand or not (eg. Mobil 1 semi Synth that's on offer at Halfords - or better ?). Years ago I had an Astra GTE that was driven hard for 150k miles and never missed a beat or had any engine problems. I used standard Vauxhall oil which had same spec as premium brands, so I'm thinking Nissan stock will be ok, as that's what the first 9k miles did anyway. My car has only done 25k miles, but is 4 years old in March. (had thought of using speacilaist - but didn't get a reply).
BulletMagnet
there is a thread about servicing at DMS http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=
rtbiscuit
if its run by the same branch of muppets who run the ipswich one i'd give it a wide bearth. i will be using DMS for my servicing, would rather go to a specialist and have proper work done then a bunch of amatuers. its a shame to say that as its there car. nissan have built a great car, but francised it out to muppets. someplaces are good and others not. dan uses the one over at bishop stortford, they are meant to be good, but the image i get is that they are few and far between. what were they going to charge you for this? mick43
All in cost, parts & VAT for P3 is £339. Was £309 @ Dartford (who were recommended on forum, but I save a lot time by going local). I did ring DMS, but my call was diverted a couple of times and then went to an answer m/c. Obviously I called at a busy time, and/or there were tele problems ? I thought I'd give my local main dealer a try as:- - there wasn't a bad review for Colchester - it's a lot closer and convenient - price was similar to DMS - does help with service history, and if there was any major failure while mileage low all realtively small points I know.. plus if I'm lucky their guy will be equally as good as a mate of mine who is a mechanic at a VW dealer - so I know they aren't all bad, but maybe in the minority. We will see. Fingers crossed.
Ekona
Interesting, my brother just booked his '07 at Glyn Hopkin in Bishop's Stortford for his P2, and he was told that it'd be £365... Given that a P3 is (supposedly) more involved than a P2, that's a very interesting cost comparison there when it's the same chain. I did try to tell him to haggle to remove the crap you don't need on the service and to supply his own fluids AND to tell them to stuff it and take it elsewhere, but his response was "But it's booked in now, I can't tell them to cancel!". He may be my brother, but he's a bloody idiot sometimes.

BulletMagnet
I understand that the time factor is important to some on here, but take a moment and think about it. Would you rather have it done quick and rubbish or rather more time consuming but done properly? Like Jason Statham said in Transporter 3: "You look after your car and your car will look after you" Like I said before, it's a terrible shame Nemesis shut shop. Being located in Colchester, they'd have been my first choice...oh well.
loafer77
I brought mine from Colchester but haven't used them for servicing or anything else yet (haven't needed to). Would be very interested in your opinion as well.
