icumber
Hi to you all..... Not a 350Z bod yet !! New 06 model due to arrive early June. Full spec GT with SAT in black - got to be black ! Cant wait.... the weeks and months have been dragging on since placing the order. I've looked at some of the threads and i've been speaking with Tom at Paintshield. Is the general consensus that I should definately get it done ! Has anybody had any bad experiences with the stuff ? Can you see the edge line if you dont get full bonnet cover ? Also considering the RAC Trackstar (but not from Nissan - rip off). Anybody anything to say about that ? Cheers, Ian.
Removed
Paintshield: essential item, a lot of its visibility is down to the installation, so recommend doing the trip to Grantham to see Tom ! As for the line on the bonnet, it is slightly more visible on certain colours, and now that you have the choice, I'd go for full bonnet! I wish I did my bonnet when I did my bumper (1 week old car) as bonnet was getting a lot of chips, which I have touched up now that I have the full bonnet Paintshield Tracker: if you are planning on keeping the car long term, get it! extra piece of mind (although some say they wouldn't as they wouldn't want a stolen car back)
Guest prescience
Go for full bonnet - from someone who has part bonnt (I would have had it been available) Trackers are readily detectable - they need power
Removed
Trackers are readily detectable - they need power but they also have their own battery mate

Kev946
Welcome Matey. I had my paintsheild done at the dealers in Derby. One of Tom's guys came to the dealers. Top quality job. I'd really recommend this as the car is then protected from day one. I had the full treatment and part bonnet.
