Zee
The first thing i have to change on my Zed is the huge aerial resembling something from a radio controlled car! I've had a look on ebay but i dont want to buy something cheap and nasty that doesn't work very well as all the ones listed as been 350z compatible are only about 2-3 quid! Am i right in thiking the Honda S2000 Aerial fits the Zed? Is this the aerial of choice? -Matt
BulletMagnet
It seems to be the case, personally I like the original.

Rentech
The Honda one fits and the reception is OK. Still got the standard one myself but seen several comments similar to this. Am I correct in reading 'OK' as 'reception not quite as good as the original'?

hotrain69
so guys, what is the verdict i'm confused, is the reception better with the original aerial or changing to the honda stubby? i have the original on still i think, and the reception is terrible. i have an alpine double din head unit fitted if that makes a difference. cheers
rtbiscuit
i swapped to a stubby, the recption on its been fine, only the odd occassion on long drive through heavy built up area has it taken a little longer to adjust the channel its a good mod
Pimm
One of the best and cheapest mods.. around............

BulletMagnet
For some reason I'm looking for S2000's and Civics in Sainsbury carparks from now on, lol
jamesyj
The Vauxhall Insignia aerial has a nice fat base (lines up spot on with oem base) and is considerably smaller, probably half the height, looks standard fit but doesn't look like you have a remote control car. hotrain69
I'm ashamed to say it but i got one from Halfrauds and it fits a dream: looks good mate! hows the reception and which one did you go for at halfords?
mwalker56
Reception is fine, not as good as with the original 8ft antennae array, but works fine for me. It was this one: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_376731_langId_-1_categoryId_165622 Ripspeed Black Aluminium Aerial. mwalker56
I had amazing reception with my old aerial. New one is still v good though, just one 10 second patch of bad reception on the drive to work in the mornings!
matth76
It seems to be the case, personally I like the original. I agree the original is pretty stubby in itself - same as the small one on most hot hatches these days. Unless there is another version that is much longer which my car didnt come with. IanS16
I'd say the s2000 stubby is about 20cm and I reckon the OEM is twice that if i remember right
cfoster
Has anyone got a direct link to the stubby aerial I should be getting (s2000 one!!) on fleabay. Seen loads on there but want to get the 'correct' one as such!! Cheers
