Race Valeting
Today was the 2nd part to a double booking, it was for a winter protection detail On arrival the car wasn't too bad just covered in frost so needed to be left running for 20 mins with the heating on full to defrost it all. Firstly the wheels were sprayed with some AS Smart wheels and thye tyres with some g101 this was left to dwell while I got the rest of the equipment ready. Then the wheels were tackled with a new EZ detail brush and a selection of other brushes, there was also some old stickers/weight marks that needed to be removed using some tardis. Before: After: Then I did all the door/boots shuts using a swissvax style brush and some g101 then rinsed with the kranzle. Next up was a pre-wash using some citrus de-greaser sprayed onto the lowers to help remove/loosen some of the dirt, this was left for a few mins then rinsed. Next up was to snow foam using some hyper wash, think my lance needs a good clean out as the foam was terrible today :censored: the joys of having really hard water, this was also left for a few mins then rinsed ready for a 2bm wash using a Z sponge and dodo born 2 be mild shampoo. Next stage was claying using some dodo gentle grey and LT as lube. Before: After: Lots of contamination and also quite a bit of overspray too from the bodyshop. Then a quick wash again and then dried using some LT and my Race Valeting Drying Towels Now time to inspect the paint as the sun wash beeming down nicely :doublesho Don't we just love bodyshops...... As the car was only booked in for a protection no correction work was being down today but still managed to get this 50/50 for the Dodo Lime Price by hand, shows really how good this products is. The whole car was LP'd by hand 2 panels at a time then buffed off, this was then followed up by a coat of Chemical Guys 50/50 wax which was applied to the whole car via a damp sponge applicator (So quick to wax using these) and then buffed off.) Next Up I dressed the tyres with some espuma rd50 and the arches with AS highstyle. All the plastic were dressed using Zaino rubber/plastic and then buffed off leaving a great finish. By this time I was apply to add another layer of 50/50 on top which was then buffed off. Then I started with the interior, gave it a good hoover and cleaned all the plastics with a mf and some g101. The wheels were thyen given a coat of jetseal 109 and then buffed off sealing them nicely. As the owner was out playing golf and not due back to later in the afternoon I added another coat of 50/50 this helped greatly to reduce the swirls too and then topped off with some Duragloss 951 leaving a lovely deep glossy finish. Heres the afters: Then just as I had finished packing up and polishing the exhaust the owner turned up and thought it looked LOVELY :thumb: BEFORE: AFTER: Total time taken was 6 1/2 hrs. Thanks for looking Paul
