matth76
Hi Found this link a few weeks back - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordschleife_fastest_lap_times. Scroll down to the 8mins 26 times and you will find the 350z. The 350 (276bhp version) is up there with the best of them Even faster than the new Audi tts and a Honda NSX. fatalus
Thats really interesting...the driver is a known skilled Nurburgring driver from http://www.sportauto-online.de/ magazine who uses stock cars to make the best time in Nurburgring. And the 350Z does better than many would think indeed!
IanS16
I was most shocked by the M3 CSL I didn't realise they were THAT quick!
marzman
I was most shocked by the M3 CSL I didn't realise they were THAT quick! +1 I couldnt believe that.
Stew
The right driver makes a huge difference but the CSL is something else. Don't be fooled by the 'few horsepower' extra. It's a different beast. A pal of mine had two! They are really nice!
WoREoD
Makes my time look tame - and I've done lots of laps and still above 9mins ..... mutter, mutter, mutter
adammitch69
Most intersting time is this: 8:16.90 Renault MéganeRS R26.R thats very quick for front wheel drive!
Mark@RSRNurburg
I was most shocked by the M3 CSL I didn't realise they were THAT quick! +1 I couldnt believe that. Fast cars round here, there a couple of guys I know doing 7:30 BTG laps.
IanS
I'm not sure a CSL is seriously quicker than an F430 / GT-R / 911 Turbo / Z06? Possible that a BTG time compared to a full lap? With racing tyres maybe...
chazza
Surprised by the Z time, not so the CSL time...beast of a car!!
Ekona
There's no mention of weather on there though, so that could (and I bet does) account for the slightly random nature of the times. No way is a Cayman S a mere second quicker than a Zed, and I find it hard to believe an S1 Exige was 16 secs slower. It's a nice list, but ultimately it's about as reliable as lap times on the Top Gear board.
Mark@RSRNurburg
The Nordschleife rewards a torquey car, prime example being you are accelerating uphill all the way from Breidscheid to Hohe Acht. I'm not sure how familiar people are with the uphill gradients so a couple of examples for you: Ex-Muhle (immediately after Breidscheid bridge) Hohe Acht (albeit taken from the footpath)
